Quickstart

Create your first XRP charge and follow it until it is paid, in four steps.

In this guide you create a 250 XRP payment link in the test environment and follow it until it is paid.

  1. 1

Create the account and verify the business

In the dashboard, register the business and connect the receiving wallet (Xaman, MetaMask, Crossmark or GemWallet). In production, the business needs an approved verification (KYB).

  2. 2

    Create an API key

Under Integration › API keys, create a key. In test mode it starts with ak_mer_. It is shown only once: keep it in a secrets vault.

    curl https://api.pineplechain.com/v1/me \
      -H "x-api-key: ak_mer_••••••••••••••••"
  3. 3

    Create the payment link

Send the amount as a string. The idempotency-key makes sure that, if the call is repeated, only one link is created.

    curl -X POST https://api.pineplechain.com/v1/invoices \
      -H "x-api-key: $PINEPLECHAIN_API_KEY" \
      -H "content-type: application/json" \
      -H "idempotency-key: order-1842" \
      -d '{ "amount": "250", "description": "Order #1842", "expires_in_hours": 48 }'
  4. 4

Share the link and follow it

Send the url to the payer. Then retrieve the charge until its status is paid.

    curl https://api.pineplechain.com/v1/invoices/inv_8f2kQm4xL0aB7cD9eF1g \
      -H "x-api-key: $PINEPLECHAIN_API_KEY"

Test without real money

With an ak_mer_ key, everything runs on the XRPL Devnet with test XRP. When you are ready, create a production key (ak_live_) in the dashboard's production mode.
